Hi, I’m Sean!
I’m a 21-year-old freelance journalist/student from Melbourne. I am about to finish a Bachelor of Arts degree at the University of Melbourne, with majors in Media and Communication and Italian.
Journalism is changing and I am doing everything I can to be a part of this exciting media landscape. My writing has featured in The Guardian Australia and Broadsheet Melbourne, and I am a reporter for both my university magazine, Farrago, and my local paper, the Warrandyte Diary, as well as SYN radio.
I have a passion for telling stories and the YMCA Youth Press Gallery is another fantastic opportunity for me to explore this passion. I have loved seeing over 100 young people debate about topics they truly care about- Victoria’s future is bright!
2017’s Youth Press Gallery is an inspiring group to be a part of. We have learnt heaps together about the media and how an actual parliament runs. Everyone pushes each other and it has been a privilege to be in this group of young writers.
I hope you enjoy our reporting and live blogging of the 2017 YMCA Youth Parliament of Victoria!
