Claudia Jambor

Claudia Jambor is a final year Bachelor of Media and Communications student at the Queensland University of Technology in Brisbane. Completing her last subject externally, Claudia recently relocated to Melbourne to kick-start a career in journalism. Before starting her degree, Claudia took a gap year to travel. She travelled extensively throughout Europe, England and Morocco. During her travels, Claudia also volunteered rural villages in the Philippines and was an assistant leader with the Yorkshire Schools Exploration Society on a six-week expedition to South Africa.

During her studies, Claudia completed a semester exchange program at Sonoma State University in California, where she spent time reporting for the university newspaper, The Sonoma State STAR and TV station, SSU TV. Claudia utilised her time overseas to gain international media exposure by interning at the busy communications department of the American Red Cross, California Northwest Region. In Australia, Claudia has interned at a variety of media-related internships including brisbanetimes.com.au, Style Magazines, and the Asia Pacific Journalism Centre. Claudia’s passion for journalism and international affairs is driving her to pursue a career as journalist overseas, with a specific interest in working in the Asia Pacific region or America.
